I've been having this problem:

- Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 (all updates in place)
- Two different machines, one 64-bit and one 32-bit.
- The problem is intermittent. Sometimes it happens on resume, and other times resume works fine.
- Restarting the machine always gets it working again.
