I have the same issue sometimes, i think that it has something to do
with some corruption with the USB broadband modem, because i can't
navigate and USB thumb wont mount... only if i wait like 5 minutes it
will mount it at low speed, usb 1.1.... i've been through this even with
my previous laptop Compaq Presario F700. Now i have an HP 6735s and it
happens very often.

this is my dmesg output fro the last 5 or 6 minutes with the 4GB
pendrive plugged
