[Bug 597496] [NEW] Overheating of the toshiba L305D with Ubuntu 10.04

Public bug reported:

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 on a Toshiba L305D laptop and found that the
laptop was overheating in a few minutes. Based on what I found on Ubuntu
forums I activated the ATI's graphics card driver but things haven't
changed. The temperatures based on sensors command indicate that in
about 30 minutes the temperature increased to 72 C from 42 C and the
only things running were 2 terminal windows and firefox.
