Unfortunately the update that causes the bug is quite a big thing for
the lucid kernel (pulling the 2.6.33 DRM into the 2.6.32 kernel) so I
fear it won't can't be fixed. What you can do is to test the current
Maveric kernel, but this early in the release cycle the kernel will
change a lot over the next months. I've assigned the bug to Andy
Whitcroft, he is the one that committed the change that causes your
problems. Hopefully he'll have time to look at it soon. I'm only a bug
triager, and my job is to get the bug into a triaged state, before the
devs spend time on it.
