[Bug 596164] [NEW] screen, fan and network interface remain on (after?) suspend

If I try to suspend, the system appears to suspend, but instead, the
screen remains on, the fan remains on, and the network remains on
(ethernet).

I can add any information requested.

But basically:

HP DV7
uswsusp is installed.
Using a newer kernel (2.6.35 - from a ppa, same thing happens with older standard kernel).

I'm not sure when it started doing this, but it is since some updates.
