I'd like to add one more comment to the above.  When my wireless access
point was set to use WEP or WPA2, in both cases, I had an incident where
my processor kept running at 100 percent when it tried to load a page.
It stayed at 100 percent even after closing Firefox.  Whatever it was,
it did not show up on the process list on the system monitor.  It could
only be stopped by either logging out or restarting.  This, along with
the other issues mention above, vanished when using an unsecured
connection.
