I'm running kernel "2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 19:31:57
UTC 2010 x86_64" and I'm still affected by the nearly the same problem.
Although I can get some data, after a few seconds of data I end up in
the same state and no data will pass. All subsequent close/open's on
/dev/ttyUSB0 will block forever and the parent process will zombie.
Quite annoying as I have no IR remote control after upgrading my
mythbuntu :(
