I've just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my media pc, and this is making it
completely unusable. Is there no way I can bypass this error message and
boot Ubuntu without taking the USB ports out?

   USB devices work, but constant syslog errors "unable to enumerate USB device on port 5"
