panoet - You've commented in the wrong bug.  The bug for the Huawei E220
is bug #449394. In that bug you will find some links to E220 firmware
which have worked for many people - see my comment #439 in this (446146)
bug.  Also see comments #466 and #467 this (446146) bug.
