I concur with this bug.

Having installed the .deb packages of the Lucid kernel into my Karmic
distro, synaptic reports that the files provided by the package linux-
source-2.6.34_2.6.34-020634_all.deb are as follows ; only directories
and a metadata file...

/.
/usr
/usr/src
/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.34
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/doc/linux-source-2.6.34
/usr/share/doc/linux-source-2.6.34/copyright
/usr/share/doc/linux-source-2.6.34/changelog.Debian.gz

...I'm struggling with this because I have a Virtualbox module which
requires sources to be able to run against a given kernel (needs to
rebuild vboxdrv).
