CliveG, I responded to that precise question in my comment #25. Briefly,
you are not the original reporter of this symptom; Bderenor Caine is.
Just because you claim that your "exact same laptop with the same
problem" seems to be a duplicate does not actually mean that your audio
controller and codec are a precise match to the original reporter's. To
resolve the symptom, we need a new bug filed from your problematic
hardware. Further, there is no need to follow multiple bugs. Simply file
your own bug and unsubscribe from this one.
