Noel, you do not have this bug (360378).  This bug was introduced
briefly in initramfs-tools 0.96.1ubuntu3, and has since been fixed;
since it was introduced for the first time on 16 June 2010, it can't be
the same as this bug which was filed on 13 April 2009.  It just happens
to have similar symptoms, that's all, but it shouldn't be conflated into
the same bug report.
