Public bug reported:

after updating to 10.04 from 9.10 it crashed my computer  but i can
still log in going threw recovery mode during boot up and then selecting
low graphic mode.   i have tryed updating for weeks now and nothing i
have my data backed up and tryed to reformat my computer. but wont boot
from cd and my bios are set to. i have used a flash drive to do the same
it boots but wont let me reformat
