I am experiencing a similar problem.  My Mouse takes a good 30 seconds
to start up and then the keyboard takes and addition minute or two.  Its
very annoying.  I have tried upgrading to the 2.6.34 kernel from the
kernel.ubuntu.com ppa and I am still experiencing the same problem
