I have a Dell xps 1530, Kubuntu 10.04 freshly installed and updated, and after a while it started to give again this problem.
On the boot, before the splash logo, I get 20-30 seconds of repeated messages like:
iwl3945 0000:0b:00.0: MAC is in deep sleep!
iwl3945 0000:0b:00.0: MAC is in deep sleep!
iwl3945 0000:0b:00.0: MAC is in deep sleep!
iwl3945 0000:0b:00.0: MAC is in deep sleep!
iwl3945 0000:0b:00.0: MAC is in deep sleep!
and so on......then it sometimes freeze and I have to manually shutdown, or sometimes it boots well. The card then it works randomly, sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I'm not the only one with this problem, it seems by reading the forums.
