[Bug 590525] [NEW] can't suspend/resume since clean install of 10.4

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

my Sager 5791 laptop has been able to suspend/resume without problems
from Hardy through Karmic. With a clean install of Lucid, suspend no
longer works. i choose "suspend" from the menu, the screen goes black
for a few seconds, then the password dialog reappears. The behavior is
the same whether or not the NVida binary driver is installed - this
report was generated using the open source video driver.
