same audio problem here.  only seems to affect firefox, which then cannot be restarted until firefox process in futex_wait_queue_me channel is killed. everything else works normally, including audio from other apps, as opposed to #480497.
firefox 3.5.9, 2.6.31-22-generic #60-Ubuntu SMP, intel 865 w/mobo graphics & sound.
