[Bug 591243] [NEW] CD and DVD media fail to mount

Upon upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04, CDs or DVDs of any kind fail to
mount.  Double-clicking the associated drive icon under 'Computer'
produces no result.  Attempts to mount discs using commands, "mount
/dev/sr0" or "mount /media/cdrom0"result in errors, "mount: can't find
/dev/sr0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab" and "can't find /media/cdrom0 in
/etc/fstab or /etc/mtab."

Attempted to solve issue with fresh install of 10.04 from disc.  Disc
was recognized on boot up and fresh install proceeded without errors.
But issue persists under new install with identical results.
