[Bug 550625] Re: Alps touchpad is recognized but synaptics clients and scrolling do not work

Is there a way to disable the touchpad completely? On my laptop (Dell
E6410), both trackpoint and touchpad are registered as PS/2 Mouse.
Buttons are designed in a way that make it almost impossible to use
trackpoint buttons without simultaneously tapping touchpad. Or is it
completely indistinguishable at this point?
