I have a Sony Vaio-Z laptop with hybrid graphics (intel/nvidia). Power
consumption is high due to the Nvidia card remaining powered while I use
the Intel card (3 hour battery rather than 5hours). I attempted to turn
off the Nvidia card with:
sudo -i
echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vga_switcheroo/switch
The process dies with the following kernel log:
