Yes, I am running the i386 Lucid. I also tried the Netbook Live-usb, but
still the same problem.

About the "ls /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio0/"

This is the result:

input (blue)

power (blue)
scroll

softrepeat
subsystem (cyan)

About the "ls /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/"

This is the result:

I still can't get the echo command to work, it says no such file or
directory
