if i understand correctly, this update wasn't pushed to lucid-updates yet, right?
if it was, with which package version?

currently i turned KMS off to work around this problem, however i'd like
to go back to KMS when it becomes possible (to have a nicer boot splash,
not 640x480 but full resolution).
