In addition to the Radeon power management patches included upstream in
kernels 2.6.34 and 2.6.35, users with desktop systems may be interested
in some new thermal monitoring work which has just landed upstream.
This work makes it possible to monitor the internal GPU temperature on
newer Radeon cards.  See
