I have installed linuxmint 9 isadora/ ubuntu 10.04 64 bit OS gnome on my ACER ASPIRE 4736. The internal microphone is not functioning at all. I am able to listen to audio from my speakers.
I have checked the sound options and have made sure that mic is not in mute. Also in alsamixer, i tried various combinations of adjustments, still the mic is not working.

It seems that a lot of people owning ACER systems are facing this problem. Someone could please help us resolve this.
