Thank you Jeremy for your reply and suggestions.
The issue no longer exists, I just downloaded the ISO images and burned
them with the same unit, and gave them a try, everything runs fine now,
not to mention that I just ran the Update Manager and Synaptic Package
Manager.
It runs smoothly in every machine that did not work in before.
It even runs now in an old P4 machine.
Thank you.
Have a great weekend!

If the issue remains, please run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

> Yesterday (2010-May-30) I came across with a peculiar problem, I upgraded from 9.10 ->10.04LTS via update manager and rebooted and I see the Ubuntu logo with the red dots loading (looks awful and I assume that is loading) for a few seconds, then the screen goes black (no login screen) I just get the login prompt.
