Public bug reported:

apparently it don't happen on ubuntu previous to 8.10, but I only have this information from google, so I can't say if it is a regresion or not.
Note that I'm reporting with the official kernel of ubu ntu 10.4, but I tested with the mainline kernel and the same ocurs.
