I have success with power2: better battery usage (about 2 watts less
according to powertop) and no other problems (no slow mouse as above).
No backport to 2.6.32  is indeed bad news. Many users might not even
know they have this problem and have to wait quite a while for a fix.
Anyway, I am happy now. Thanks.
