[Bug 588339] [NEW] OV2640 webcam, no microphone detected

The microphone part of the OV2640 webcam in my laptop is not being
detected.

It does not show up as a capture device anywhere. Originally snd-usb-
audio was not being loaded, however modprobe loading it makes no
difference, even if modprobe.d/base.conf is modified to specify the vid
and pid of the device, or manually as part of modprobe, ie modprobe snd-
usb-audio index=1 vid=0x05a9 pid=0x2640

It shows in lsub:

I had read there was a bug in relation to the uvc driver claiming the
microphone if it was loaded first, however unloading uvc-video, then
loading snd-usb-audio doesn't work either. I have also tried updating
uvc to the latest svn version.

This seems to be a problem with the snd-usb-audio module, not attaching
to the camera's microphone.
