I can confirm the bug. Problem started after upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04
LTS to Ubuntu 10.04. Sometimes there is only short freeze, but sometimes
the only solution is to reboot.

I have also changed the disk to the new one and I have tried to install
new version of Ubuntu there. The installation process freezed during
formatting disk.
