In the upstream bug report (Kernel Bug 16235), someone writes that this
was fixed. However, in both Maverick kernel versions of today I still
have the problem:

    2.6.35-999_2.6.35-999.201007011005
    2.6.35.6.7

This patch should fix the bug:

I'm not sure how to check whether this patch has landed yet in the
kernel version I'm running.
