thanks for the attempt, I'll try myself the patch as soon as I manage (I
have to free some room in the HD for the kernel compilation, I'm afraid
that 3GB aren't enough). However, I suspect that this is not going to
work to me since the output of the dmidecode says:

Product Name: Satellite U300

I believe this case can easily be integrated in the patch though.
