I am running Kubuntu Gutsy 7.10 on an Athlon 64 dual-core system. This
system normally runs in unattended and headless mode. It had an
unexplained restart on the night of April 10.

I am running the 2.6.22-16-rt real time kernel with VmWare and a single
VM was running (but not likely used much) at the time of the crash.

Result of uname -a:

Linux kpas1 2.6.22-16-rt #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Mon Jan 26 00:42:03 GMT 2009
x86_64 GNU/Linux

Boot section in /boot/grub/menu.lst:

title Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-16-rt
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-16-rt root=/dev/sda1 ro noapic
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-16-rt
quiet

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
