[Bug 461936] [NEW] fails to enter suspend mode

After installing the release candidate of Karmic Koala, my laptop fails
to enter suspend mode: when I initiate the suspend process the screen
darkens and appears to be ready to suspend, but then displays a log-in
screen after a brief moment.
