the ec100 and ec168 modules were merged into the 2.6.34 kernel.

Maverick kernel build options for the dvb-v4l subsystem need to be
updated to include the ec100 and related modules to be compiled.

current testing kernel in maverick :

2.6.35-17-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Fri Aug 20 01:22:04 UTC 2010 x86_64
GNU/Linux


at least for amd64 does not have the modules compiled as part of the kernel
