[Bug 624695] [NEW] Synaptics touchpad does not work

Hi,

I just installed maverick netbook daily image and first problem is my touchpad does not work. external mouse works just fine.
So the information as required:

1. Gigabyte Booktop M1305C
2. Synaptics touchpad but not sure what model or anything (synaptics packages are installed correctly)
3. Problem appeared only in ubuntu. works fine in windows.

It also appears that thew touchpad is not detected when i tried xinput
list. because then something synaptics should show up.
