Would it be possible for you to attempt to boot Hardy via the USB multi-
boot script I gave you and re-do your tests in there? It would help to
eliminate any hardware issues you may be experiencing. To save time,
edit the script to remove the other distributions, so they are not
downloaded. It shouldn't take you too long and would help by answering a
few of my questions.
