Binary package hint: udev

The brightness keys FN+F7 or FN+F8 don't work on my laptop, I created
the files /etc/acpi/video_brightnessdown.sh and
/etc/acpi/video_brightnessup.sh and verify that they work when I execute
them like #./video_brightnessdown.sh. But the brightness is not modified
when I press the FN+F7 and FN+F8 key combinations.

In order to solve that, I followed the instructions in the section
"Fixing broken keys" of the file /usr/share/doc/udev/README.keymap.txt
but in the step 3, when I tried to capture the codes of the FN+F7 and
FN+F8 key combinations, but they didn't produce any code, nor unknown.

The vendor/product names are:

#cat /sys/class/dmi/id/sys_vendor
Hewlett-Packard

#cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name
HP Pavilion dv2700 Notebook PC

I also attach the files in the file file.tar.gz:
/tmp/orig-map.txt from step 2
/tmp/udev-db.txt from step 6
