[Bug 623704] [NEW] Kernel 2.6.35-17-generic-pae does not boot at all

Public bug reported:

After updating Maverick, the referred kernel was the default choice, but
it didn't boot. I just see a message:

  udevadm trigger is not permitted while udev is unconfigured

And after leaving it several seconds, I get an

  ALERT /dev/disk/by-uuid/<some uuid> does not exist. Dropping to a
shell

And just a shell login, nothing more.

Booting from the 2.6.35-16-generic-pae works ok.
