[Bug 622207] [NEW] HP 8440p wakeup from suspend turns fan on

Public bug reported:

Fan goes up at max revs when system resumes, and stays on all the time.
Disconnecting AC turns off the fan but only for as long as AC is
disconnected. When suspend/resuming on battery, fan stays off, but it
goes up again as soon as AC is reconnected. Only a reboot or hibernation
returns the fan to its normal (silent) mode.

Maverick alpha on HP 8440p.
