** Description changed:

In kernel version 2.6.32-24 for UNR 10.04.1, the "Shut Down" function
has stopped working on my MSI Wind. There is no error message given. I
can hit any variation on a power down action and nothing works short of
- a hard reset.
+ a hard reset or the "sudo halt" command.

  Steps to reproducing problem:
  1. Fully update system (as of August 21st)
  2. Attempt to power off the machine. The shutdown sequence does not initiate.

- (Should note: I have not yet tried the results of the "halt" command.
- Will try once this report is submitted and add the results.)
+ The "sudo halt" command produces the expected result. Could this be a
+ permission issue?
