Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

Ubuntu release 10.04.1 LTS

Package initramfs-tools 0.92bubuntu78

Just after having created a persistent LiveUSB (3 GB persistency), I
proceeded updating the OS, and installing drivers for my wireless
connection (Broadcom 4312 802.11 a/b/g rev. 02), which by the way is not
recognized by the system. Everything was supposed to go perfectly ok.

However, I got this error message concerning initramfs-tools, which
failed to upgrade, as well as another package : bcmwl-kernel-source.

The same problem happened with 10.04 distro, which is the reason why I
uninstalled it and made a new Live USB with the 10.04.1
