Public bug reported:
The following steps currently cause a hard lockup on my system while
using the 'Maverick' development version of Ubuntu.
Note: At first, lshw-gtk starts up and begins scanning, then crashes.
Then a few seconds later my system is completely locked up and I have to
press the hard reset button to reboot.
1) In gnome-terminal enter the following command: gksu &
2) Then, in the gksu dialog box enter: lshw-gtk
3) Enter in your password thereby giving lshw-gtk permission to run with
root priviledges.
