To be more clear, the workaround sugested in #21 also works for Asus
EEEPC 1000h, Bios version 2.204, wireless RaLink RT2860, Kubuntu Netbook
10.04, using WPA-PSK - announced SSID.

About comment #69, but at every Kernel update the wireless will be
broken, so you're gonna have to redo step 9.
