[Found Workaround] I just installed the real time kernel from the
repository and it does not have this bug. I can suspend and the machine
comes right back no problem. It does seam like the icons are not drawn
as sharply using this kernel but I think it's worth it to have suspend
(plus, I'll love it if this kernel makes my machine more responsive).
