Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty (DVD image install) / XP home dual boot - hard drive
stays on completely solid in ubuntu, works just fine in XP
Iostat shows no disk activity running as 'iostat 2'
updatedb is not running
Other than the hard drive light being on solid, the machine seems to
function normally. This seems to be more of an annoyance than anything.
