Thanks for contacting me Fabio.
I'm sorry to say I gave up trying to get it working with Ubuntu and switched
to Linux Mint (Helena).
Everything is working fine now.
Regards
Colin

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
My wireless dongle - ADDON GWU180 - worked fine in 8.10, but since upgrading
cannot connect to my home network. I have an old Advent 6412 laptop with
USB 1.1. It did connect once but I only managed to download a few bytes
before it stopped working again. I am still new to not just Ubuntu but Linux
generally and not really sure what I am doing. The ethernet connection is
still OK, and the dongle still works on other platforms.
Anyone who can help me please use "blonde" language.
