Hi ndsipa pomu and thanks!

I had succeeded on restoring synaptic functions, using terminal yet.
I uninstall alsa-firmware to restore it, but it steel to be on error issue
after reinstalling it, with :
"E:

I did what you suggested to me, and then I post you down the error issue
message:
"fayc at fayc-desktop:~$ sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite ls
 ls
 /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-firmware*.dev *(i tryed with linux-firmware
version at first, and secondly with the one which match with my version :)*

fayc at fayc-desktop:~$ sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite
fayc at fayc-desktop:~$ firmware_1.34.1_all.deb"

It seems to be the same problem than Paul Neaveil's one, with the same
architecture
ProblemType: Package
 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
Package: linux-firmware 1.34.1
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
Architecture: amd64.

thanks a lot for your contribution !!!
