Public bug reported:
Startup of Kubuntu Maverick-Alpha3 Live-CD with 2 monitors (LVDS and VGA-0)
runs until X is started. Then the system hangs.
I can't do anything except alt+print+... to reboot.
HW is Thinkpad T43 with ATI mobility radeon X300, LVDS: 1024x768
external monitor on VGA-0: 1680x1050.
BTW:I see the same behaviour when I boot Lucid-10.04 with a 2.6.35
kernel.
In Lucid-10.04/2.6.35 I see that the major difference (as far I can see)
is that the external monitor is already in high resolution mode when X is
started which is not the case with the standard kernel in 10.04.
Also from Lucid-10.04/2.6.35 I know that Xorg logfile is not complete. It ends
just before the line where "randr" is enabled. It seems that "randr" doesn't
work well together with 2.6.35 kernel.
I attach Xorg logfile from Lucid-10.04/2.6.35.
