Using maverick with -13 and -14 the tty starts at a wrong screen
position (see screenshot). Using 2.6.35 2.6.35-020635-generic it happens
exactly every second time (I rebooted a dozen times)
Graphics driver: nvidia 256.44
putting
GRUB_GFXMODE=1280x800
or
GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=text
in /etc/default/grub works for me
attached are dmesg logs from the mainline kernel where it once worked
fine and once was broken.
