I resolved this problem in the following way:
1) I have installed the daily ISO ubuntu desktop (as suggest from Thierry Carrez) in normal way (this version recognizes the PERC controller) 
2) I have installed the ubuntu-server package. 

So, my dell-ubuntu server works perfectly!!
